A Wery Wery Fine Man

Continuing the profile portraits that started with Richard Smart.

Here is another talented friend who also happens to be a really Wery (very) good man. Taken with the 50mm lens I bought from him is the one and only Clemens Schwaighofer aka Gullevek. Austrian computer genius, photographer, wit and enthusiastic hat wearer. He also happens to do the worst German accent I’ve ever heard, when he’s trying to sound German that is. Most times he does it pretty well of course.

Kids day today so…

  1. I’ve never been much into portrait photography…until this past month 😉 I just ordered myself a 50mm and am (not so) patiently awaiting it’s arrival.
I love how you’ve used light, dark and shadow in this photograph – profiles always attract my eye, maybe because it is only half the face that speaks for the whole – creating a bit of mystery and causing the mind to wonder more about the subject even after the photo has been viewed.
    Thanks for sharing!
