Happy New Year Again

This one being the Chinese new year which arrived yesterday (I think) and was celebrated in Yokohama‘s China Town with a traditional Lion Dance that goes around to shops to collect offerings and perform for the owners in a visit that is meant to be auspicious for luck and success.

The crowds were unbelievable but the noise of the music and fire-crackers and the energy of the dance and watchers made it all fun. Taking photos wasn’t easy due to the crush of people but managed to get a few when i could push my way (or was pushed) closer to the action.

Happy new year to all of you, again!

  1. Good you managed to get a couple of good snaps despite the crowds, never easy to get pics at these things, always someone pushing, standing in your way and generally making things difficult.

Happy New Year again as well.
