Another Peace Piece

At Yasukuni on Saturday it was the anniversary of the end of the Pacific War. There was the usual anger, violence and ignorant pride. More of that later. Much more…

At the beginning of the day though the shrine takes a nod towards the peace and remembrance this day is supposed to be about and prays for the souls of Japan`s war dead and hopes of continued peace by releasing doves. This pictures shows Hatoyama Kunio, ex LDP Internal affairs and communications minister and brother of possibly the next Prime Minister of Japan, Yukio Hatoyama, about to release a dove.

All I have time for at the moment, more to follow from me and others; it was an eventful day.
